Setting Up Outlook Express 6

NOTE:Clearwire's Email Configuration Tool can complete the rest of these steps for you. To use the tool click here.

1. Enable IMAP in Webmail. Don't forget to click Save Changes when you're done.

2. Open Outlook Express.

3. Click the Tools menu, and select Accounts.

4. Click Add, and then click Mail.

5. Enter your name as you would like it to appear in the From: field of outgoing messages in the Display name:field, and click Next.

6. Enter your full Clearwire email address in lower case (including '@clearwire.net') in the Email address: field, and click Next.

7. Choose IMAP in the My incoming mail server is a ______ server field. Enter imap.gmail.com in the Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server: field. Enter smtp.gmail.com in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: field. Click Next.

8. Enter your full Clearwire email address in lower case (including '@clearwire.net') in the Account name: field. Enter your case sensitive password in the Password: field, and click Next.

9. Click Finish.

10. Highlight imap.gmail.com under Account, and click Properties.

11. Click the Advanced tab.

12. Under the Outgoing Mail (SMTP): field, checkthe box next to This server requires a secure connection (SSL). Enter '465' in the Outgoing mail (SMTP): field. Under Incoming mail (IMAP):, check the box next to This server requires a secure connection (SSL). The port will change to '993'.

13. Click the Servers tab, and check the box next to My server requires authenticationClick OK.

Click the Servers tab, and check the box next to My server requires authentication. Click OK.
